Prior to settling down and starting a family, Susan received her M. Ed. In secondary education while working full time on faculty at a business proprietary school. Prior to coming to work for McIlvain, Susan worked in the administration and guidance counseling area at Liberty Christian School for nine years.

Susan and her husband, Rich, share six children, 13 grandchildren, and one great granddaughter.  Life is full for her outside of work as she enjoys spending a lot of time doing life with her children and grandchildren.  She also likes reading, patio time with friends, and listening to music.
